Join IMAGINE (Institute for Managing Annual Grasses Invading Natural Ecosystems), a collaborative out of the University of Wyoming, for this virtual workshop.

Invasive annual grasses—including cheatgrass, medusahead, ventenata, and others—continue to transform rangelands across the West, threatening ecosystem resilience, wildlife habitat, and working landscapes. IMAGINE’s annual Invasive Annual Grass Virtual Workshop builds on momentum from previous years by bringing together land managers, researchers, and conservation practitioners to build community, share perspectives, and exchange science-based approaches to invasive annual grass management.

This workshop will highlight new research, tools, and tactics, including mule deer interactions with invasive annual grasses, updates on mapping tools and emerging management approaches such as Indaziflam and soil amendments,. Participants will hear about on-the-ground lessons from projects following Level 3 workshops in Montana, Colorado, Wyoming, and southwestern Idaho. The workshop will conclude with a reflection on three years of technology transfer and how shared tools and knowledge are translating into action across the sagebrush biome.
