Record updated:

In 1966, preliminary results of this study were reported by Lyon in Research Paper INT-29, Initial Vegetal Development Following Prescribed Burning of Douglas-fir in South-Central Idaho. Because of a misplaced decimal point in that report, data for density and volume of shrubs 2 years after the fire are incorrect. Although the conclusions presented remain essentially valid for the first 2 years following the fire, this paper is intended to replace rather than supplement the original.
